Marubeni Pharmaceuticals Corporation (Head Office: Tokyo; President: Shigeyuki Nishinaka) announced today that its Chinese subsidiary, Marubeni Pharmaceuticals (China) Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Shanghai, People’s Republic of China; Chairman and President: Yoshitaka Koketsu; hereinafter “Marubeni Pharmaceuticals (China)”), has received the 2025 “City Impact Award” presented by Shanghai Daily. The award recognizes multinational companies that have made significant contributions to local communities through outstanding corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives.
The award acknowledged Marubeni Pharmaceutical’s health awareness initiatives conducted in October and November 2025. On October 10, 2025 (World Mental Health Day), Marubeni Pharmaceuticals (China) held a mental health awareness event for young people, introducing practical stress-management techniques and emotional self-regulation strategies.
In addition, on November 12, 2025 (World Pneumonia Day), Marubeni Pharmaceuticals (China) provided educational sessions for older adults on pneumonia prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation, and also demonstrated respiratory muscle training exercises.
